At the time Louyse was involved in the fitness industry and a Reiki Practitioner. "I discovered yoga, or perhaps yoga discovered me, at the age of ten. The first poses were halasana and headstands; I remember doing them all time in the summer and knew I was doing yoga. This led to watching an old black and white television program called "Karen's Yoga". Karen was a German lady with an accent who would go into bow poses and warriors and it all seemed so fascinating. Doing this outside led to the observances from an elderly neighbour from India who became my first mentor.
During my high school years, I remember being in aggressive-based physical education classes which just didn't mesh with my focus. Yet, when it came to the stretching components of the class I excelled. My path was leading me down a road to teaching myself the different asanas now.
In my twenties, I started an aerobic instructor course with the YMCA which led to other opportunities at different clubs where again I used my self taught yoga in the stretching components of each class. Finally, I decided this was my path and had the opportunity to study for an entire summer in the Bahamas, followed by much more intense instruction in Southern California with Brian Kest and Santa Monica Power Yoga and Eric Schiffmann.
I started the East to West Yoga Teacher Training in 2005 and have found the perfect program to continue his love of sharing yoga with others."

Eloisa fell in love with the art of movement while studying acting, modern dance and physical theatre at George Brown Theatre School. This subsequently led to her personal Pilates training with Rikki Richter, director of Mind the Body studio, who taught her that how we move plays an integral part in our lives.
For over a decade, Eloisa has been actively practicing Pilates and Yoga. Her Pilates training and Certification was through the Physical Mind Institute, under the tutelage of Suan Grescovish at Body Harmonics. Eloisa further deepened her Yoga practice by interning with Diane Bruni and Ron Reid at Downward Dog Studio, then became a certified Yoga Instructor with Susie Dias at East to West Yoga Studio. Her Pre and Post Natal Certification was with Skylar Hill -Jackson, founder of Baby & Me Fitness. These certifications led Eloisa to teach group classes for various corporate clients such as the Royal Canadian Yacht Club, Kraft Canada, Baby & Me Fitness, The Toronto District School Board and Sony Records, as well as a roster of personal clientele, including Governor General Award-winner Ronnie Burkett.
People who take a proactive role in their well being go through a profound transformation. Eloisa's wish is to provide students with more than a stretch class, but an opportunity to play, explore, discover and connect with themselves at the deepest level. In 2006, Eloisa became the director of a small Yoga and Pilates Studio called Liberty Movement Studio, a grass roots studio that teaches and offers a variety of different Yoga and Pilates classes in the King and Dufferin area.
Eloisa continues to deepen her practice and knowledge of Yoga and Pilates by studying new forms of bodywork and movement, while teaching and sharing her love of the practice with others.
